Setting the Top Piece
The main thing we need to do here is make sure the sides fit tight into the top piece, then put a single screw into each side to hold it to allow some movement while the rest of the truss is constructed.Step 1a

Good morning from Liberia
"Today we're putting together the trusses." The maximum amount of pitch, the angle of descent for the top chord is 3 foot down for every 12 foot length. Because there is some variability in the product, the distance from the top center to the horizontal piece can vary from 121" to 126" (also see video "Step 3").Step 1b

Setting the Horizontal Bracket
The measurement from the centerpoint to the edge of the bracket on the horizontal piece is 126". Start with the screw in the bottom to snug the bracket.Step 3

Finishing the Top Bracket
When the vertical supports are attached, put in all the screws into the center top bracket, starting with the top and bottom (which will be the sides when the truss is vertical), then the sides (which will be the top and bottom when the truss is vertical).Step 4b

Mind the Gap
There should be a 33" gap between the horizontal brace and the top center bracket, from the bottom of the top bracket to the top of the horizontal piece. Note the ruler placement at the top brace.Step 4c
